Funded Item | Another light weight wheelchair

Elaine was involved in a road traffic accident when she was just five which left her paralysed. After many years as a manual wheelchair user Elaine was suffering from shoulder pain and needed to move to a powered wheelchair for everyday use. The only one available from Wheelchair Services was heavy, bulky and unsuitable for use in Elaine's home. We were able to help by part-funding a new light weight wheelchair with powered wheels as recommended by Elaine's Occupational Therapist. Elaine has written to say how much easy life is now she has her new wheelchair.
